Our family has a deep-seated love of food. All food. Especially food we have discovered together. Whether it's a recipe we have found in a book or a dish we discovered on our family travels, it's the joy of the memory and the flavours we can still taste that makes the experience so perfect.

It is one of these sensory experiences that inspired us to bring SMOQE to life. We've travelled extensively in the USA where we encountered the authentic smoked BBQ flavour. The unmistakable taste stayed with us and is the foundation of our SMOQE'd Rub and House sauces.

Artisan burgers have always been a 'go-to' for us. When we discover a good burger, it makes us all smile, and we feel satisfied; no one is disappointed. The 'gold standard' of our burger encounters came on a trip to New York. In a small Gastropub on 9th Avenue called The Brickyard, we discovered the very BEST burgers we have EVER tasted. We felt lucky to have experienced that moment together, and it set the bar.

It's our goal to deliver that same 'gold standard' foodie experience combined with our distinctive SMOQE’d flavour to every customer. We want you to taste the craft and feel the pleasure that handmade, honest comfort food provides.

All of our recipes come with a memory attached and are thoroughly researched and tested by the whole family before they make it onto the SMOQE menu. From achieving the right mix of prime beef cuts in our patties to perfecting the method of how they're cooked, if they don't recreate the memories, they don't make the cut.

Each dish is designed to taste divine and evoke the exact feeling we intended to bring to the table… comforting and delicious food that leaves you wanting more.
